WEYFEST COVID INFORMATION

Entry Requirements

There are NO special entry requirements for Weyfest based upon vaccination status or passport. This is in accordance with  Govt Doc : Guidance for Events  14/7/21 and reflects that Weyfest is primarily an outdoor event and therefore lower risk.

Upon arrival at the festival we would ask you to please scan the Weyfest QR code with the NHS track and trace app if you have it. This will be beside the sanitiser stations at the main entry.

Coming to the Festival

If you are feeling the slightest bit unwell then you should take a Covid test before travelling and stay at home in the event of a positive result. NB If you cannot come due to a positive result we will happily allow you to carry your ticket over to next year. We will be checking temperatures upon entry to the festival so please be diligent.

Indoor Areas

All areas identified as higher risk during our pre-festival risk assessment will be subject to extra safety measures. These measures will include enhanced cleaning regimes, capacity limits, increased ventilation and the advisory use of masks. These will all be monitored by our IPC controller  (see later section). Examples of these areas are the indoor Rustic stage (Hut) and the Rural Life Centre cafe,

Vendors

We are encouraging ALL vendors to take electronic payment and this is the preferred payment method. All vendors will operate enhanced cleaning regimes and ensure that queuing for food is conducted in a safe manner.

Responsible Behaviour

We are determined that Weyfest 2021 will be as normal and enjoyable as possible. However, please show respect for your fellow festival goers by avoiding close contact with people outside of your own party and giving everyone space. If you see unsafe or irresponsible behaviour then please report it to security or a steward who will deal with it.

At the festival

We have appointed Star Medical Services as Infection Prevention Control (IPC) at the festival. In this role, they will provide initial training plus daily briefings to staff and directors as well as auditing compliance with procedures every 4 hours. A testing facility will also be available at the festival together with an isolation 'holding' pod in the event of a positive test.

Sanitiser stations will be available around the festival plus at each food/drink vendor.
